A Van’s a Van for a’ that

Is there for honest poverty
That hangs his head and all that?
The slow-lane car, we pass him by,
We dare be poor for all that!
For all that and all that.
We need a clean and all that.
The shine is but the guinea's stamp.
The Van's a goer for all that.

What though we have a noisy drive,
Wi’ muddy arse, and all that.
Give fools their wax and knaves their shine,
A Van's a Van for all that,
For all that and all that,
Their alloy wheels and all that.
The honest van, though e'er so poor,
Is king o'the road for all that.

You see yon dragster, once a Ford,
Wi’ pimping, flares and all that.
Though hundreds want him on the road,
He isna' paid for all that.
For all that and all that,
Go faster stripes, and all that.
The man who owns his lowly van
He looks and laughs at all that.

A banker or a Tory knight,
A marquis, duke, and all that,
They drive around in shiny shite.
Good wheels, we mustn't fault that!
For all that and all that,
Their Tautliners all that.
The pith of sense and pride of work
Are higher rank than all that.

Then let us pray that, come it may,
(As come it will for all that)
That Getting There o'er all the earth
Shall be the point of all that.
For all that and all that,
It's coming yet for all that,
That Van to Van the world o'er
Shall brothers be for all that.
