- The combined global land and ocean average surface temperature for March 2010 was the warmest on record at 13.5°C , which is 0.77°C above the 20th century average of 12.7°C
Bad news for the denier parties, UKIP and BNP.

Aargh! I put the apostrophe in the wrong place. Corrected now, and I will say 100 Hail Lynne Trusses. Or should that be Truss's?
My pedantry should not detract from the main thrust of the piece of course...
No, Gramma, you're too modest. The misplaced apostrophe proves that 2009 was NOT the warmest year on record. It proves I fiddled the figures, it proves the sceptics' (got it right that time) case. CO2 is good for us. I'm off to buy some stocks and shares. In oil futures.
