Yesterday Blue Diamond in an email, said “…if you continue with your planned action we are now at a stage that we will take legal action against you and your colleagues for unfairly singling out and defamating Blue Diamond Garden Centres”.
I will be going with my pot collection to Cadbury Garden Centre at 11 am Sunday May 4th (tomorrow at the time of writing) as it is not possible to cancel plans at this point.
I have been corresponding with Blue Diamond (the corporation who owns Cadbury) since 19th November 2024, and legal action has not been mentioned until yesterday.
It is important for us all to stress in any communications that our action is aimed at reducing single use plastics in general, and that we are not trying to defame Blue Diamond, nor indeed any of its subsidiaries. This has been a *Polite* Plastic Plant Pots Protest from the outset.
I will be taking my plant pots with me. Supporters are very welcome, whether Pot carrying or potless. Please be ready to photograph and video the event.
