The global economic crisis

Many posts here relate to the economic crisis.

Providing an alternative to austerity is the major theme.

I try to do the banking crisis in 100 words

Since the Government is worried about the competition in the event of Europe having a Tobin Tax, go global with it.

My major interest is in benefits reform that will address the recession, green the economy, and create fullish employment. Here.

Last but not least, I am a monetary reformer.

The Occupy Movement

Occupy is inspired by the Arab Spring uprising in which I have been involved via Twitter. I was campaigning particularly for the UN to block Gaddafi's megaphone, Libya State TV.

The Arabs are fighting physical dictatorships, whereas ours is more of a mental and economic dictatorship.
Our revolutions will succeed long term only if we achieve achieve unity of purpose in setting a new economic agenda in the Arab countries and also in the West.

Here is the list of my pieces on #occupy, but the central one is here, on the necessary reforms needed.

Unfortunately my enthusiasm for Occupy was extinguished by a workshop taken by an old-school communist, who was in favour of maniacal torturers so long as they were some kind of socialist. Aargh.
