The news today is that the hedge funds are wobbling.
Here is a link to a plan to bring the derivative market to account, by creating a clearing house for them, and by testing their legality in court.
We might question whether it is desirable to try to save the present miserable monetary system.
In favour of trying to do so, there are 2 points:
1 it may make the difference between a great depression (which carries a risk of war) and a global recession that can be addressed with the Green New Deal.
2 to be seen to be making constructive suggestions may position us to be heard more clearly with our GND proposals in the future, whatever the outcome.
