The Mom Song

Thanks to Anita Renfroe for this concise summary of the duties of motherhood, to the tune of Rossini's William Tell Overture, and to the Northlands Church, where I first heard it.

A special welcome to all the people who have arrived here as a result of a search for the Mom Song. After you have listened to it and dried your eyes, please feel free to explore this blog, which is packed with thoughts and reflections on the news, and how green thinking provides answers to the many serious problems that we face in the world today.

You may feel that politics is not your thing, but if you like the Mom Song, you are probably a mom (or as we call them, "mum") in which case you will have an interest in what kind of world your children are going to inherit. The Green Party is all about making sure that they have the very best kind of world and the best kind of life possible.

This is obviously addressed to a daughter! Spot the key phrase.

We sons don't behave like that.

Excuse me while I go fetch my tin hat...

I listened again. She tells them not to burp. Girls don't burp do they?

My daughter and I have watched this video a dozen times and still think it's one of the best we've ever seen! Thanks for making us laugh every time we watch it!

Great, but the praise should go to Anita Renfroe (and Rossini). I hope you take a bit of time to have a look at some of the more serious stuff on this blog.
