I have not been following the Chilcot Inquiry into the Iraq war in any great detail, except to mention Omand's important point that the war has stimulated world terrorism, not inhibited it.
Steve Bell done the job for us: the central message that will come from the Inquiry: in one line, he has encapsulated what Chilcot will take thousands of pages and millions of pounds of taxpayers' money.
The next Inquiry into the next bit of illegal and monstrous political foul-up should be chaired by Steve Bell, and should call a succession of cartoonists and comedians. Worth a try.
