Weighted Index of Unrest in Middle East

This nifty index of unrest is from the Economist. It's a pity they were not able to include an unemployment column, because that is another important factor.

Why isn't Israel/Palestine on the list ??

Hi non

I think because they were specifically looking at the condition of Arab states in terms of their pressures. Israel/Palestine is a special case.

It would be great to see Israel on the list.

And to see how much they differ from all the other states on the list.

And surely the 'time in power' sections are rather incorrect for Egypt and Libya? Gadaffi has been there for 40 years and Mubarak for 30?
