How do we know we are causing the world to heat up?

Sceptics now accept that climate change is happening, and that the world is warming, though they emphasise that the warming has slowed or stopped in the last decade. However, the deny that our CO2 is causing it, preferring to see it as "natural variation".

It is from the excellent Skeptical Science blog, created by the equally ecxellent John Cook.
Enjoy.
