Committees, Archbishops, scientists, elephants

Today a walk in the muddy paths of the Mendips with nine humans who had gambled yesterday evening away then given all the winnings to Mohan's area of Sri Lanka.

Then more research, trying to find why the Intergovernmental Oceanic Commission failed to follow up on the 1999 proposal to put up an early warning system in the Indian Ocean. No answer. Australia and Indonesia got together informally, but nothing transpired.

The Archbishop of Canterbury finds that the devastation shakes his faith in God.
I find that it shakes my faith in committees.

Elephants in Thailand cried aloud hours before the wave struck, and trotted up the hill, thereby saving the tourists on their backs. Yet scientists say they have no way of reliably predicting earthquakes.

Hello?
