Today's front page news: global warming hits a "tipping point" as the Siberian permafrost begins to melt, releasing massive amounts of methane into the atmosphere, which will add another twist to the vicious spiral of global warming.
Yet George W Bush is still putting a brake on the desire of the rest of the world to do something about it. The only thing we can do is to boycott American products as comprehensively as we can, and let American companies know why we are doing it. There are many companies to hit, but if we all concentrate on Esso/Exxon first of all, in a really big effort that damages their profits, other US companies may sit up and take notice, and order Bush to climb down.
And to anyone who thinks, "That will never work, because not enough people will do it", we say: "If people stopped thinking negative thoughts instead of taking positive action, we could be living in a world of peace and prosperity".
