Daily Telegraph Health Risk Shocker

Readers may have noticed that I was not blogging last week, due to a stay in France. (Took the train by the way).

France is in good shape still, though given how hot it was, it was noticeable how few solar panels they have.

One of the hardships of travel was that I had to buy a copy of the Daily Telegraph. I was astonished how heavily laden its pages are with crime reports. Stuffed with them. Loaded. No wonder people's perceptions of the risks of crime are so distorted.

Reading the Telegraph has to be bad for health, inducing anxiety, and making people take less exercise because they are afraid to go out. Maybe there should be a class action against the paper. That might help.

This is not to deny that crime is not a problem. It is. But it is not as big a problem as Telegraph readers think.
