Hospital Acquired Covid-19 infections

A quick search shows a worrying amount of Covid-19 infections are Hospital Acquired Infections (HIAs). The Covid Air Management System will significantly reduce these numbers

Weston Hospital, May: 57 Hospital Acquired Infections, 18 died

Dublin: 50 cases, 14 died. March - May. Most spread was from health care workers to patients.

Manchester Tameside General Hospital, had a spike of 18 cases in a week in September. Uncertain how many were HIAs.

12.5% of hospital C19 patients contracted the infection in hospital (Study, n=1,564)

NHS England study shows 10-20% of C19 patients in hospital were HIAs. 7% of staff with +ve C19 tests were asymptomatic.

Royal Glamorgan Hospital, September 2020: 60 C19 HIA’s, 8 die

About  18% of  hospitalised Covid-19 patients acquired it in hospital

3 out of 6 hospital in patients may have acquired C19 in hospital
